Queen 'not invited' to France's D-Day commemorations
The Queen and her family are not invited for commemoration of Second World War in France. Instead the Prime Minister Gordon brown is representing the UK. The Queen family is angry that the French authorities have not invited the Queen, but the French government said that the Queen is always welcome and they refuse the news about not inviting the Queen.
French government spokesman Luc Chatel said: "It is not up to France to determine the British representation."
The royal house spokesman said “we are absolutely not angry and are content with all the arrangements that are planned."
Reflection:
I have chosen this news because it is funny. It is the same as when there is some ceremony and someone is not invited then the gossip begins all over and every one talks about it. The person who is not invited tells the whole time that he/she is not angry it is no problem, but in real he/she is angry and wants to be invited. It is the same in here the Queen is angry, but do not want to give-up. Don’t worry dear Queen they will invite you definitely next time.
